Movement Congratulates the Armenian People on Independence Day

The path to true freedom is often thorny, so that the independence achieved by the people and its leaders is truly valued. Everything attained easily is lost just as easily.

Today, over 90% of our ancestral homeland remains under occupation. However, recalling the struggle of our ancestors, we have no right to despair. For centuries and millennia, Armenians have proven that they cannot be broken. Otherwise, we would not exist today.

Our people must clearly understand: freedom can be won only in the name of a great purpose. Freedom is not “from” someone or something. Freedom is not an escape “from” one to another.

Freedom is a path dedicated to God—a journey of spiritual growth, prosperity, love, self-discovery, and harmony. When Armenians learn to love themselves, no force on this planet will dare to enslave or divide them! Happy Independence Day! Eternal glory to all our soldier-defenders, both the living and those resting in heaven!
