Who we are

The Pan-Armenian Movement “Ashkharazhokhov”, founded in July 2024, is an assembly of 15 Great Armenia’s provinces heirs. It followed two-year discussions in Armenia and in the diaspora of the way for Armenian people to overcome the systemic crisis.

Movement members aim to restore Armenian territorial integrity on the basis of the revival of Ashkharazhokhov, traditional for all Armenians institution of people’s representation. The nation, uniting around this body, solved the issues of war and peace, along with social and political challenges.

The ideological foundation of the “Ashkharazhokhov” movement is guided by Sarkis Tsaturyan’s book “Armenian Dream”, published on holiday of Navasard — 11 August 2023 — the first day of the first month according to the ancient Armenian calendar.

“Ashkharazhokhov” proclaims the Armenian land to be the highest spiritual and material value of the Armenian people. A land is the core of ethics. A land brings us together to form a single community with a common destiny. The land is our soil the nation grows from upwards, towards the heavens. Therefore, recognizing the true Armenian borders is the first step towards the revival of statehood, which the nation has gained through Haik Naapet.

The movement declares social justice to be the main principle of the Armenian land.

“Ashkharazhokhov” condemns any attempts to divide the Armenian people according to the criteria of religion, language or territory of origin.

Symbolism

The emblem of “Ashkharazhokhov” consists of a double-coloured canvas — blue and burgundy. Blue symbolises the sky and the eternity, while burgundy symbolises the strength and the assertiveness.

Two lions on the canvas guard Armenia. The lions signify the victory of God The Father and His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ. Armenia and its purpose are depicted on the emblem inside the circle.

The River, symbolising the united by its mission Armenian nation, holds the central place of the composition. The river is depicted in the form of the letter Հ (the first letter in the word Հայաստան – Armenia).

Three rowers in the boat symbolise the Trinity. How is Trinity related to Armenia? The humanity was three times revived in Armenia on new spiritual foundations, courtesy of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The first time was the Creation of the Eden Garden. The second time — on the day when Noah’s Ark docked on Mount Ararat. And the third time — in 301, when Great Armenia officially adopted Christianity as the state religion.

The river runs to the Ararat Mountain, the name of which literally means «the Creation Mountain». There are four eight-pointed stars in the sky above Ararat, four biblical rivers – the Euphrates, the Tigris, the Kura and the Arax, first marked the borders of the Garden of Eden, then the borders of the Kingdom of Ararat, and later the borders of Greater Armenia.

The rivers symbolise the Agreement of the Armenian people with God, concluded for eternity: the Almighty granted Armenians the land within the borders of the four rivers, people must protect it and accomplish His Will. Therefore the eight-pointed star, signifying eternity, is indicated on the emblem.

BIOGRAPHY OF THE MOVEMENT’S FOUNDER

Tsaturyan Sarkis is an Armenian politician, Chairman of the Pan-Armenian movement “Ashkharazhokhov” and the “Armenian Dream” book author.

He was born in Yerevan on January 20, 1989.

Tsaturyan’s family comes from the village Armenian Borisi in the Shahumyan region, located in Utica, the easternmost province of the Greater Armenia.

Tsaturyans, along with the other families from the Shahumyan province and the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region, were deported from their homeland by the interior troops of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Soviet Army units and the Azerbaijani OMON as part of the “Ring” terrorist operation in early June 1991.

Sarkis grew up in the Yaroslavl region, where he graduated high school. Tsaturyan’s first article, published in “Rostov Vestnik” newspaper when the future politician attended the 8th grade, was devoted to the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.

Tsaturyan received a Bachelor’s degree in international relations at Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN) in 2010. He graduated from RUDN with a Master’s degree in world politics in 2012. He also obtains a diploma of French interpreter.

He taught various courses on the history of international relations, political science and conflict studies at RUDN from 2013 to 2015.

He earned a PhD in History in 2015 following a thesis defense on “Nonviolent resistance as a technology of regime change in US foreign policy (2000-2014)”.

From 2017 to 2018, he taught a course on geoeconomics at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Tsaturyan is the co-founder and former editor-in-chief of the international news agency “Realist” (March 2017 – August 2023), broadcasting in Russian, Arabic and English.

The book “Armenian Dream” was published on August 11, 2023. It provides answers to three crucial for Armenians questions:

  • Who are Armenians?
  • How do Armenians and the world affect each other?
  • What are the principles of restoring the Ararat Kingdom??

Tsaturyan considers “The Armenian Dream” to be an ideology for the revival of Armenian nation, which puts the restoration of the Kingdom of Ararat within the borders from the Euphrates to the Kura the overall objective. Nvard Silikova, an engineer and granddaughter of Major General Movses Silikova, the hero of the Battle of Sardarapat, in her review dubbed the book “an ideological manifesto of the Armenian people”.

Tsaturyan founded headed by him up to now Pan-Armenian Movement “Ashkharazhokhov” with like-minded people in July 2024.

Pan-Armenian Hymn

Armenian land, the holy pilgrimage place,
Our promised land Armenia,
Your children are scattered all over the world,
The relics of the saved Armenians.
Wherever we go, you call us home,
You are the shelter of the radiant light of our souls…

Armenia, our Nairian country,
You are our saviour Ararat,
Stand together with the diaspora and Artsakh.
For the great unity of the people.
Perpetuate our Armenian cross with your Van and Sevan.
The cathedral temple of our faith,
You are the stone scroll of the Armenian language.

We are the brave Hayk descendants,
Our sons are a hundred thousand eagles,
Worthy of great glory and geniuses of thought.
We have nurtured them on the holy deeds of our ancestors.
Our Motherland, you are the beacon victory,
We swear to be your brave defenders…

Armenia, our Nairian country,
You are our saviour Ararat,
Stand together with the diaspora and Artsakh.
For the great unity of the people.
Perpetuate our Armenian cross with your Van and Sevan.
The cathedral temple of our faith,
You are the stone scroll of the Armenian language.
